Papaya juice

IMG_6609Papaya Juice! mmm…Papaya is deliciously sweet and soft! It is often called “fruit of the angles” by Christopher Columbus.

Papayas are grown in tropical areas like Mexico and Central America. It was brought to the United States in the 20th Century.

Papaya offers rich source of antioxidants, vitamins, minerals and fiber. In addition, papaya contains digestive enzyme, papain, which is often used for pain and swelling. The combination of these nutrients, allow Papaya to promote the health of cardiovascular system,  protection against colon cancer, promote digestive health, anti-inflammatory effects, immune support, protection against macular degeneration, and protection against arthritis.

IMG_6611Today, I made raw papaya juice!


1/2 Fresh organic papaya



  1. cut the papaya the long way
  2. scoop out the seed
  3. scoop the papaya into blender cup
  4. add about a cup of water and then blend it!

If the papaya taste is too overwhelming, add some maple syrup in it. Be sure the papaya you picked is ripe so it is sweeter.
